Maintenance Technician Needed!

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. This role supports the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives through safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes. You will be working on forklifts, and handling hydraulics and pneumatics with a significant focus on preventive maintenance and running the maintenance program.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment, including welders, forklifts, skid steers, overhead and gantry cranes, and paint equipment.

• Perform electrical skills including but not limited to work on control panels.

• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

• Conduct a variety of plumbing maintenance tasks.

• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.

• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report any unusual situations to proper supervision.

• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Essential Skills

• Experience troubleshooting heavy equipment.

• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

• Proficiency in preventive maintenance.

• Ability to repair forklifts and cranes.

• Strong electrical skills.

• Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.

• Skill in using hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.

• Experience in plumbing maintenance.

• Strong attention to detail in detecting faulty operations and defective materials.

• Commitment to safety regulations.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, you will frequently be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00
