We are seeking a Construction Supervisor to join our team in Albuquerque, NM . In this role you will travel within the regional market of CO, UT, NM, WY & AZ, to support all phases of construction projects and manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations of team members.

The Role

  • Manages several crews with the goal of keeping the projects moving forward

  • Drives the company’s safety policies in the field

  • Supports all phases of construction projects

  • Develops skillsets and knowledge of construction teams – both aerial and underground

  • Manages payroll and overtime guidelines; manages productivity levels

  • Completes employee performance management functions; disciplinary actions, performance reviews and ongoing development

  • Will be the team’s “expert” and “go to” resource; spending time in the field to understand, improve and build out the team

  • Reviews, updates and maintains team data

  • Manages all aspects of the day-to-day operations of team members; headcount requirements

  • Travels to job sites in market up to +/- 80% (company vehicle provided)

  • Works with leaders to delegate tasks when relevant

  • Keeps safety as #1 priority for each team member: adhering to company safety standards and all federal, state and local laws

  • Drives team to meet deadlines and produce quality projects

  • Provides a high level of customer service when interfacing with customers

  • Gives direction to multiple crews and their job site activities

  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with utilities, clients, permitting agencies and government officials as needed

  • Handles customer and contractor problems related to projects

  • Works in a variety of environments; indoors, outdoors, elevated, tight spaces etc.

  • Maintains open communications with other departments

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant aerial and/or underground construction leadership experience required

  • Prior construction industry experience; Coax Splicing, Fiber Splicing, Directional Drilling, Aerial Construction, map reading, etc., a plus

  • Experience in contracts with RUS, NTIA, BEAD, E-ACAM preferred

  • Experience with TERO & the Davis-Bacon Act preferred

  • Ability to be flexible and manage changing priorities

  • Ability to travel in market and occasionally to other markets, open to a variety of schedules and accessible outside of normal business hours as needed

  • Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively in-person or virtually

  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers

  • Ability to give feedback; positive and negative when needed

  • Strong desire to grow and develop team members

  • Ability to complete work indoors, outdoors, in tight spaces and elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing as needed

  • Ability to safely navigate various terrains, managing equipment and tools

  • Ability to travel up to +/- 80% throughout designated market (company vehicle provided)

  • A body weight of no more than 275 pounds to perform ladder work safely. Safety is our #1 Priority. If personal safety is not compromised, an accommodation may be available based on previous ladder experience in a similar role

  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record (free from suspensions or revocations)

  • Class A CDL a plus

  • Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
