Description

We are seeking an Albuquerque Personal Injury Attorney to join our law firm client's team. The role is situated in Albuquerque, New Mexico and operates from our client's office. The successful candidate will be working within the legal industry, specializing in personal injury cases. Base salary of $55K plus bonuses including 19% of net attorney fees on settlement, etc. Total comp to start of $300K plus.

Responsibilities:

• Compassionate interaction with clients during initial meetings, documenting all pertinent facts related to the case.

• Direct and evaluate investigations to build a strong case for trial.

• Determine insurance coverage related to the case.

• Prepare for trial by evaluating Full Settlement Value and negotiating with adjusters.

• Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed of case progress.

• Develop and maintain negotiation relationships with adjusters, and aggressively negotiate or posture cases as required.

• File suit and prepare clients for litigation when necessary.

• Prepare pleadings and discovery for lawsuits.

• Ensure your cases are prepared for trial, arbitration, or mediation.

• Timely review and sign correspondence drafted by team members.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed attorney in the state of New Mexico with a minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury law.

• Proficient in using legal software such as 3M, Case Management Software, LexisNexis, and other Management Systems.

• Demonstrated experience in Civil Litigation and Claim Administration.

• Proficiency in handling Personal Injury Plaintiffs and Complaint Handling.

• Strong skills in Documentation and Briefing.

• Experience in preparing for trials including the use of Visual Aids, Models, and Mockups.

• Must be capable of managing and prioritizing multiple case loads efficiently.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and other legal professionals.

• Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Must demonstrate high ethical standards and professional integrity.
