Willamette Valley Bank Assistant Branch Manager in Albany, Oregon

The primary focuses of this role are to assist the AVP Branch Manager to grow the bank and develop/lead a team of retail branch employees.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Assists the AVP Branch Manager in leading, coaching, developing, supporting, and motivating all branch staff to achieve sales, service, and operational goals.

  • Responsible for staff planning and coordination.

  • Conducts periodic meetings with operations staff members to provide training and facilitate communication.

  • Responsible for internal and external branch audits.

  • Oversees implementation and revision of all branch and backroom operations.

  • Assists in recruiting and interviewing candidates for Client Service Specialist and Relationship Banker positions.

  • Provides a quality client experience with each, and every, interaction.

  • Meeting/exceeding growth and profitability goals.

  • Ensures branch staff complies with regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, and any other Bank requirements.

  • Assist with issues relating to policies, procedures, product knowledge, service delivery, and problem resolution.

  • Ensure staff development is available in all areas; sales, service, policies and procedures, product knowledge, operations and compliance. Recognizes leadership qualities and cultivates supervisory candidates.

  • Comply with and follow all applicable policies and procedures as well as governing laws and regulations. This includes but is not limited to: performing all assigned duties under the WVBK compliance programs and related laws and regulations. Successfully completing all mandatory compliance training as assigned in a timely manner.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Leads and manages branch staff which would include: Client Services Specialist(s) and Relationship Banker(s) at the assigned branch.
