OR Registered Nurse Entry Program

St. Peter's Health Partners is offering an exciting and comprehensive Entry Level Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) Program designed for both experienced and newly graduated RNs at St. Peter's Hospital!

This program provides extensive training and hands-on experience in a dynamic surgical environment. Participants will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the OR setting, working alongside a team of dedicated healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in an intensive orientation and training program focused on OR procedures, patient care, and surgical protocols.

Assist in preparing the operating room for surgeries, including setting up instruments, equipment, and supplies.

Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and sterile environment during procedures.

Monitor patients’ vital signs and provide care before, during, and after surgery.

Administer medications and assist with anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist.

Document patient information and surgical procedures accurately and in a timely manner.

Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding surgical procedures and post-operative care.

Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.

What you will need:

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York

Current BLS

Possess the ability to assess, plan, direct, intervene and evaluate patient care

Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written.

Pay Range: $36.50 - $49.95

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
