The Companies of J.J. Young is looking for qualified and skilled candidates for the Special Events Coordinator position. Our client is a non-profit located in Albany that offers social services and support for our local diverse communities. The client is looking for candidates that work well with different types of people of all orientations. A personal mode of transportation is required to travel to events. Position Overview:The client is searching for a Special Events Coordinator to plan, manage, and supervise company hosted events. Candidates should have experience in event planning and they should have excellent customer service skills. The position also requires occasional work during evenings and weekends.Key Responsibilities:•Organize and manage the event while also supervising support staff•Serve as a liaison for vendors’ event matters•Rigorous research to assure event quality and discern work priorities•Develop and maintain a relationship with top donors •Prepare and modify event contracts•Maintain calendar for events•Data EntryRequirements:•BA (required), MA (a plus, but not required); significant experience can substitute for a degree•At least 1 year of event coordination experience and 3 years of administrative management•Works well with little to no supervision•Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, Photo Shop, and office systems•Time management skills•Excellent written and spoken communications skills as well as customer service skills•Valid and unrestricted driver’s license with independent form of transportationIf you meet the qualifications and are interested in this position, apply today or call (518)452-7090!
