Leading Distribution Organization Is Expanding Their Procurement Team!!Sourcing Specialist Needed! $24/hr+ Monday-Friday

Job Description

Assist Sourcing Specialists in procuring non-resalable goods to support capital projects, maintenance-related issues, store sales, and merchandising. Help Sourcing Specialists with Reverse Auctions (e-auctions) and utilize resources to drive down the cost of goods we purchase. Use internet technology to have qualified suppliers compete for our business. Collaborate with various stakeholders and functional business areas to identify savings opportunities. Create purchase orders for all Equipment and Small Wares. Respond to email and phone inquiries as needed.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor inventory levels of non-resalable goods to ensure stock availability and prevent stockouts.

• Analyze usage patterns and forecasting data to determine optimal inventory levels.

Supplier Relations:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods.

• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and enhance product quality.

Order Processing:

• Prepare and place orders for non-resalable goods based on inventory analysis and operational needs.

• Maintain accurate records of orders, receipts, and inventory changes.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with the operations and procurement teams to align sourcing strategies with organizational goals.

• Communicate inventory status and any issues to relevant stakeholders.

Data Analysis:

• Utilize inventory management software and tools to track stock levels, shipments, and supplier performance.

• Generate reports on inventory turnover rates and supplier performance to identify areas for improvement.
