  • Pay Type: Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month

  • Annual Salary Pay: $95,000-$105,000 per year based on experience

  • Annual Bonus Potential: Up to 10% of base salary

  • Experience in Logistics and Final Mile operations is preferred

  • Experience with contract negotiation, financial oversight, and P&L experience is preferred

  • Remote position

SUMMARY

Independently develops strategy, and administers large spend programs in support of Ryder Final Mile. Serves as focal point for vendor/customer (Ryder Final Mile associates) interface on designated contracts; negotiates terms and conditions, oversees contract compliance, resolves contractual issues and maintains excellent customer relations, both internal and external.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Independently provides contract functional review and compliance with Ryder standards and policies.

Coordinates actions with Legal, Finance, Risk Management, and business unit managers to resolve issues related to agreement provisions. Negotiates contractual terms and conditions with executive management in supplier organizations.

Monitors vendor performance and adherence to contract requirements.

Monitors site compliance with company policies and procedures.

Identifies and applies best practices to implement policies and initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, cost effectiveness and customer (Ryder Final Mile) satisfaction related to procurement programs.

Provides functional/technical advice and direction to Ryder Final Mile associates

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree Business or related field.

Master's degree Business or related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Two (2) years or more experience 2-3 years industry experience

Three (3) years or more experience 3 years management experience

Five (5) years or more experience 5-10 years procurement experience preferred

SKILLS

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage conflict and reconcile differences.

Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

KNOWLEDGE

Proficient in Microsoft Office products Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, Project, Power Point, and Outlook) ; intermediate level.

Knowledge of benchmarking and best business practices; intermediate level; preferred.

LICENSES

Other Purchasing Management Certification (Upon Hire, preferred).

TRAVEL

0-10%

Applicants from California, Colorado, New Jersey, New York City, and Washington: Salary is determined based on internal equity; internal salary ranges; market data/ranges; applicant’s skills; prior relevant experience; certain degrees or certifications, etc.

The salary for this position ranges from $95,000 to $105,000/year. Employees may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, as applicable.
