Segmental Pavers - 9 fulltime, temporary, seasonal (H-2B) jobs available 4/1/25-12/1/25.
Employer: American Design and Contracting, LLC, 127 VFW Drive, Albany, NY 12205.
Duties: Prepare base for installation by removing unstable or unsuitable materials, compacting and grading the soil, draining or stabilizing weak or saturated soils and taking measures to prevent water penetration and migration of bedding sand. Lay out and place segmental paving units, aligning and spacing them correctly. Cut paving stones to size and for edges, using a splitter and a masonry saw. Installation of bedding and restraining materials for the paving units. Must be able to lift 80 pounds. Employer to provide daily transportation to and from work sites in Albany, Rensselaer, Schenectady, Saratoga and Warren counties, from central location.
Work Hours: Mon-Fri, 6:30am-4:30pm; 40 hours/week at $21.08/hour. OT will be available at $31.62/hour. Saturday may be necessary depending on weather.
No education or experience required. On the job training provided.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Monday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.
Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.88/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts.
