ManpowerGroup Project Manager in Albany, New York

Our client - NY State Agency is seeking a Project Manager to join their team.

As a Project Manager, you will be part of the Single Family Residential team supporting Business Consulting and Mentoring Initiative.

The ideal candidate will have excellent project planning and management, budget management, and organizational skills, as well as strong writing and communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Project Manager (1 year contract, opportunity for extension)

Location: Albany, New York or MA, CT, RI, NJ

(Resource is required to be closer to NYS - for occasional travel)

What's the Job?

  • Lead the day to day development and implementation of all phases of the initiative

  • Ensure initiatives are built such that they are easy-to-use and responsive to customers and partners

  • Manage program budgets and provide data and performance reporting for internal and external partners

  • Respond to general program questions from participating contractors and customers

  • Draft written communications (emails and letters) to program participants

What's Needed?

  • 7-10 years of experience working directly with residential building trades

  • Understanding of the residential home performance supply chain, especially understanding contractor/installer audience and its current technical and business challenges, and workforce constraints

  • Knowledge of building science with a focus on single family existing homes knowledge

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with various stakeholders - customers, contractors, implementation contractors, business consultants, etc.

  • Minimum Associates Degree in environmental studies, business management or related field, experience working with contractor/installers a plus
