Senior Healthcare Program Specialist - Project Management Office in Albany, NY

The Senior Healthcare Program Specialist (Project Manager) will be part of the Project Management Office (PMO) of the Bureau of Data Insights and Research. The PMO is responsible for tracking and monitoring all long-term projects associated with the Bureau, supporting onboarding and training efforts of new staff, supporting recruitment of new staff within the Bureau, scheduling meetings, tracking recurring projects the Bureau is responsible for and monitoring ticketing systems.

The project manager will work with all units/teams within the Bureau as well as with the PMO team lead supporting workplan development, tracking workplan timelines and dependencies, and escalating priorities to the PMO manager. The project manager will attend and coordinate meetings on long-term projects internally and with external program areas within the Office of Health Insurance Programs.

Examples of day-to-day responsibilities of the Senior Healthcare Program Specialist are:

· Working closely with the Project Manager lead on monitoring and tracking long-term and recurring projects for the bureau

· Maintaining documentation on project needs and requests and tracking and communicating any updates with leadership and team members.

· Responding to questions sent to the Bureau mailbox

· Scheduling onboarding and training sessions

· Supporting staffing needs such as but not limited to:

o Recruitment

o Onboarding

Additional Requirements position:

• Project Management experience required

• PMP certification preferred

• Healthcare background preferred

Basic Qualifications:

• 9 years of experience in healthcare

• An associate degree counts as 2 years of experience, a bachelor’s degree counts as 4 years of experience, and a master’s degree counts as 5 years of experience.

Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, SSO provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
