The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats injury, disease and other conditions of health. Physical Therapy includes performance and interpretation of tests and measurements to assess pathological, pathomechanical and developmental deficits of human systems. Physical therapists help people with physical injuries or illnesses regain range of movement and control their pain. Physical therapists help individuals who have lost motor function due to accidents, illness or age. They help determine the root causes of the trauma, counsel patients, and work with them to create a plan for rehabilitation
Hourly: $31.27 - $51.60
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Administers patient evaluation and treatments employing physical therapy modalities, procedures and interventions.
Schedules patients. Maintains written and verbal communication regarding patient and departmental concerns, and submits accurate billing information
Participates in rotations in all clinical areas
Participates in teaching, including annual in-service to peers
Participates as a clinical instructor for students
Supervises PTA’s
Promotes and contributes to all sanitary and housekeeping policies which are designed to maintain the cleanliness and readiness of all clinic and general staff areas
Participates with the department quality improvement activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree of Physical Therapy - required
Master's Degree of Physical Therapy - required
Doctorate Degree of Physical Therapy - required
Acute care or inpatient rehabilitation experience - preferred
PT - Physical Therapist Upon Hire - required
BCPR - Board Certification Physical Rehabilitation Upon Hire - required
BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire - required
