Summary

The Medicaid Program Advisor (2) will work in the Division of Workforce Transformation on the Nurses Across New York (NANY) team which administers Loan Repayment Programs designed to recruit and retain Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Professional Nurses (LPN) to provide direct care to underserved communities and populations in New York State.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Manage the development of program and policies related to loan repayment grant funding opportunities which incentivize nurses to practice in underserved areas of New York State.

• Draft Loan Repayment Program funding opportunity application, expenditure plan, approval documents, contract documents and financial matrices.

• Oversee the maintenance of listservs, tracking databases and program updates.

• Oversee the grant applications process. Review and finalize Level 1 application evaluations. Assure quality control process.

• Communicate with stakeholders and applicants on an ongoing basis. Finalize status updates and reports.

• Work on a team with Department of Health and other State agency colleagues to award grants to nurses and facilities. Lead meetings and debriefings.

• Create program and technical assistance manuals. Oversee the creation of contract documents in the Statewide Financial System.

• Monitor program performance and expenditures, manage program evaluation and improvement. Lead evolving policy development and best practices.

• Participate in activities that support the program, stakeholders, applicants, and grantees.

• Manage professional staff.

Basic Qualifications:

· Bachelors’ degree in a related field

· 8 years of experience in a healthcare field

Preferred Characteristics:

· 8 years of experience in project management or contract management

Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, SSO provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
