The Manager, Community Programs is responsible for direct oversight of the community programs team and related activities, including development, implementation and monitoring of outreach initiatives, community partnerships and community events that align with growth & retention objectives as well as population health priorities.

The Manager, Community Programs must be highly organized with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and manage effective cross-functional workflows and resources. The manager will be expected to identify, detail in written documents, and monitor all business requirements for new and existing projects and partnerships to facilitate comprehensive, timely and efficient implementations.

The Manager, Community Programs shall have primary responsibility to assist the Vice President, Community Engagement with development of community-based collaborations, including participation in the contracting process and ongoing oversight of community partnerships.

This position requires the ability to identify and propose methods to resolve business risk, engage in effective communication (oral and written) with internal and external stakeholders, achieve task completion within requirement timeframes, and develop and maintain understanding the compliance requirements for community partnerships, outreach activities and other community facing initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the Health Insurance Industry is required, with three (3) of those years in an operational, contracting (vendor) or project management position. Experience with State Programs products preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree or four (4) years of equivalent experience required.

  • Ability to analyze and determine the impact of regulations and laws preferred.

  • Knowledge of health plan administrative and operational processes and systems required.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate the implementation of initiatives with internal departments and external vendors is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and shift priorities to meet day-to-day operational needs as well as mandated deadlines is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze changes and make decisions appropriate to the position.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify weaknesses in workflow and develop and implement process improvements to continually assure that corporate goals are satisfied is required.

  • General knowledge of DOH and DFS and other applicable regulatory requirements is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, assume responsibility and implement proactive solutions is required.

  • Excellent written, oral communication and organizational skills are required.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of various systems applications including Excel, Access and project management software is preferred.

    CDPHP salary ranges are designed to be competitive with room for professional and financial growth. Individual compensation is based on several factors unique to each candidate, such as work experience, qualifications, and skills. In addition to cash compensation, CDPHP employees may be eligible for an incentive payment, a discretionary cash reward based on employee and company performance. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
