Licensed NYS Pharmacist - Division of Program Development & Management (Item 1416) in Albany, NY

Day-to-Day Tasks of Position:

Oversee the Medicaid Drug Utilization Review Program and Drug Utilization Review Board Activities including the review and Prioritize and oversee Drug Utilization Review (DUR) Board activities, including the review and approval of clinical and financial information prepared for Board review, member vetting and ensuring compliance with legislation. Work with colleagues and the DUR Board Chair to co-lead meetings and handle logistics. Assist with the processes to oversee Managed Care Plans’ DUR programs, the administration and/or development of processes to evaluate managed care plans’ pharmacy programs including formularies and/or utilization management tools. Additional Requirements: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work across departments inside and outside the Division, Strong organizational, clinical and analytical skills

Responsibilities:

• Candidates must be licensed as a Pharmacist and registered to practice in New York State

• Work experience, which can include dispensing prescriptions, communicating with prescribers, working directly with and counseling patients, interfacing with insurance companies to resolve claim issues, performing administrative tasks for keeping patient files up to date, and stocking medications, etc.

• 5+ years of work experience including the activities above and/or with a payer or managed care organization managing clinical programs and/or formularies and implementing system and program changes.

• Demonstration of career growth and taking on increasing responsibilities including the management of staff.

Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, SSO provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
