The Informatics Analyst III – Data Visualization is responsible for supporting the implementation and analysis of programs and initiatives aligned with CDPHP’s strategic goals of making quality healthcare more accessible and affordable for our customers; controlling cost trends while retaining commitment to quality; developing a deep understanding of our customers; and retaining market leading position across all business lines. The primary focus for this position is the designing, development, maintenance, interpretation, and communication of insights from decision support tools: Tableau-based dashboards & interactive analytic suites to identify and manage actionable opportunities. The Analyst is also responsible for preparing the data needed for those Tableau workbooks, including any statistically derived metrics or benchmarks; and uses multiple analytic tools and data sources to support that objective, including Tableau, SAS, and Excel. The Informatics Analyst III serves as subject matter expert on data visualization for healthcare, and supports the ongoing maintenance and effective use of Tableau dashboards, both by analytic resources and business end-users.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience performing duties that include: business needs assessment, data preparation, dashboards development, design and analysis required.

  • BS Informatics, Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Healthcare/Epidemiology, and/or Math/Statistics is required. 4 years relevant experience may be substituted for degree.

  • Master’s degree preferred

  • Demonstrated expertise with advanced capabilities of Tableau Desktop required. Tableau Desktop Certified Professional preferred.

  • Demonstrated expertise synthesizing and analyzing data sets of different sizes and complexities is required.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability with analytics, including but not limited to statistical and/or financial analysis required.

  • Demonstrated ability in the validation and corroboration of all data analyses and deliverables required.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and projects required.

  • Strong written and verbal communication, organization and planning skills required.

  • Experience in MS Office products required

  • Demonstrated ability to represent department with internal and external customers (including physicians) required.

  • Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-9, HCPC’s, RBRVS, UBO4, HCFA 1500, MS-DRG, APR-DRG, APC, APG coding and reimbursement preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with forecasting, financial and/or predictive modeling tools and techniques preferred.

  • Healthcare or managed care industry preferred.

  • Experience and familiarity with SAS preferred.

    CDPHP salary ranges are designed to be competitive with room for professional and financial growth. Individual compensation is based on several factors unique to each candidate, such as work experience, qualifications, and skills.
