Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in Albany, New York

Description

We are in search of a dedicated Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team in ALBANY, New York. The HR Manager will be integral in fostering a harmonious workplace environment, implementing HR policies, and overseeing talent acquisition. Additionally, the HR Manager will be involved in employee engagement activities, and ensuring compliance with labor regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate HR programs to foster a productive and harmonious work environment

• Oversee talent acquisition and recruitment processes

• Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies

• Enhance job satisfaction by promptly resolving issues and initiating employee engagement activities

• Administer brand standards and corporate training related to the hotel industry

• Aid in onboarding new employees by providing information packets, reviewing company policies, and explaining benefit programs

• Prepare payroll by calculating pay, distributing checks, and maintaining payroll records

• Maintain accurate employee records, tracking important dates and time off

• Administer employee benefits programs, medical insurance, and disability programs

• Document and track human resources actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records

• Ensure compliance with labor regulations in collaboration with the HR Director.

Requirements

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Understanding of Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration

• Ability to ensure Compliance with legal standards and company policies

• Experience in managing Employee Relations effectively

• Proven track record in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy

• Proficiency in assessing training needs, conducting evaluations, and monitoring training programs

• Experience in supporting business needs through organizational development and talent management

• Ability to oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance

• Familiarity with HR systems and databases

• Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills

• Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company

• Proficiency in labor law and HR best practices.
