Responsibilities include:
The Site Supervisor plays a key role in providing vision, leadership, and administration to one of our early childhood education sites serving children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. They must ensure the site's smooth operation to provide a stable, nurturing, quality program for children and families. The Site Supervisor will direct and oversee day-to-day program management, operations, and personnel, ensuring quality programming for all customers. They are expected to ensure site compliance with all applicable program performance standards, including the Head Start performance standards and OCFS regulations. The Site Supervisor is expected to act as an educational leader within the site and must provide consistent guidance, supervision, and education to staff. They serve as a liaison between individuals/families and community agencies and are responsible for developing and coordinating community resources and program services activities.
FULL-TIME TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT UNTIL DECEMBER 2025 (W/ POTENTIAL FOR REGULAR FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT)THIS POSITION PROVIDES SUPERVISION TO MULTIPLE SITESStarting salary $58,458 annually; Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week
QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor’s or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education, OR any bachelor’s or advanced degree with equivalent coursework in Early Childhood Education are required. A minimum of four (4) years of working experience in early childhood education teaching and/or daycare or childcare experience is required. At least two (2) years of supervisory experience is also required, preferably for staff in an early childhood education setting. Knowledge of New York State OCFS regulations and Head Start performance standards is highly desired. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus. Possession of a valid driver’s license may be required.
