Function :
This multifaceted role combines grant writing and administration with data and financial analysis responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for research, a solid understanding of grant proposal processes, strong communication skills, and proficiency in data analysis. They will be responsible for researching, writing, and managing grant applications, as well as analyzing data related to project outcomes and organizational needs.
Position Specifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
A minimum of five-years’ experience in the fields of grant administration, data analytics, program supervision, and communications.
Grant writing experience.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of products, and experience in database management.
Experience with AWARDS.
At least 2-3 years of experience in grant administration or management, preferably in a nonprofit, government, or research setting.
Experience with data analysis, including statistical methods, data visualization tools, and reporting.
Familiarity with grant management software and project management tools.
The ability to effectively research grant opportunities, and to match grants with applicable program needs.
Ability to pass background checks, including fingerprinting.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Researching community needs as well as funding sources to meet those needs, while ensuring that any new program aligns closely with the St. Catherine’s Center for Children’s mission statement and the current strategic initiatives (or Strategic Plan). Working closely with the Leadership Team to follow grants through their entire cycle, ensuring that all reporting requirements are submitted in a timely manner. Communication with the Leadership Team including Finance, Marketing, and Program Leaders before, during and after grants are secured so that all areas affected by any new programs are being considered appropriately.
Key Responsibilities - Grant Writing and Administration:
Research potential funding sources including government grants, private foundations, and corporate sponsorships.
Write and submit compelling grant proposals that align with the organization's mission, goals, and funding requirements.
Manage grant applications from initiation to submission to close, ensuring compliance with all deadlines and formatting guidelines.
Track and monitor the progress of submitted grants, including funding approvals, rejections, and renewals.
Collaborate with internal teams (AED’s, program managers, finance, etc.) to gather information and prepare accurate, detailed reports for grant proposals and follow-up reports.
Maintain a grant schedule/calendar to ensure all applications, reports, and renewals are completed on time.
Cultivate relationships with stakeholders, ensuring they remain informed about program achievements and how their investments are being utilized.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect, clean, and analyze program data to assess project performance, identify trends, and inform decision-making.
Design and maintain data dashboards to visualize and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for various programs and projects.
Prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, summarizing data insights and project outcomes.
Conduct statistical analysis and present findings to senior leadership to help guide strategy and program improvements.
Assist with data entry and integrity and management within internal databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Administrative Duties:
Provide administrative support to the grant writing team, including scheduling meetings, organizing files, and managing documentation.
Identify and Automate areas that can be streamlined to increase efficiency, data integrity and cost savings methods.
Provide follow up support to ensure that public announcements or other required information is provided to our Marketing and Communications team in a timely manner.
Provide administrative oversight to ensure that funding received is appropriately acknowledged according to industry standards and funders requirements.
Assist in budgeting for grant-funded projects, ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately and in compliance with grant requirements.
Coordinate with external contractors or consultants when necessary for additional grant-related services.
Ensure organizational compliance with both internal policies and external grant requirements.
