Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeping, Accounting, and Auditing Clerk in Albany, New York. The role primarily focuses on handling various operations within our business services center which includes finance, human resources, and support service lines. This role is customer service-oriented and requires the ability to adapt to different service areas based on workload demands.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure thorough understanding and application of policies and procedures related to the specific service line.
• Efficiently handle service line specific transactions in line with standard work and service level agreements.
• Operate as a representative in our BSC Call Center, with an understanding of our BSC ticketing system.
• Manage both written and telephonic communications, including the preparation of email correspondence to customers, vendors, and program administrators.
• Address complex processing errors, identify user needs in the processing system, and handle other intricate transactions.
• Carry out data analysis and resolve complex auditing issues related to various business practices, including various audit functions and related processes.
• Maintain a consistent level of quality customer service to all BSC customers.
• Utilize your bookkeeping skills to process customer credit applications and maintain accurate customer credit records. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and auditing
• Strong skills in customer service and communication
• Knowledge of standard procedures and policies related to accounting
• Familiarity with human resources administration
• Proficiency in email correspondence and use of relevant software tools
• Experience with 'About Time' or similar time tracking tools
• Ability to provide workstation support when required
• Proven ability in conducting audits and understanding of pricing mechanisms
• Experience in dealing with vendors and understanding credit practices
• Ability to perform data analysis related to financial transactions
• Experience in working in a call center environment is a plus
• Familiarity with drafting and understanding agreements
• Experience in using ticketing systems for task management
• Understanding of service level agreements and their implications
• Ability to handle audit functions and complex transactions
• Proven ability in bookkeeping practices and principles.
