Teresian House Assistant Administrator in Albany, New York

The Teresian House is currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Administrator to complement our leadership team and support our mission of providing exceptional care to our residents. This role requires flexibility, leadership, and commitment, with the responsibility of providing coverage for the facility during specific hours and ensuring seamless operations. The position offers a unique schedule, working three weekday shifts (12:00 PM - 8:00 PM) and weekends (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM), including operational oversight in the absence of the Administrator to maintain continuity of care and services .
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership in the Administrator's Absence:
Assume administrative responsibility for the facility, ensuring all resident care activities and services are in compliance with policies and procedures.
Department Coordination:
Work closely with Department Heads to integrate and implement policies, procedures, and new services, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
Policy Development:
Assist in preparing and maintaining written policy and procedure manuals aligned with the facility's goals and standards.
Budget Preparation:
Contribute to the development of the annual budget, ensuring financial alignment with organizational objectives.
Communication and Liaison:
Maintain regular communication with Department Heads and Consultants to disseminate information, interpret policies, and solve problems collaboratively.
Mission and Philosophy Support:
Uphold and strengthen the values, mission, and philosophy of care, reflecting the principles of the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm.
Administrative Steering Committee Participation:
Demonstrate knowledge and commitment to high-quality, compassionate care, ensuring alignment with Catholic health care ethics and directives.
General Administrative Duties:
Perform related duties as assigned by the Administrator to ensure the efficient management of the facility.
Qualifications:
Licensing:
Must be licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator in New York State or license-eligible.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong organizational ability to plan and coordinate activities across multiple departments.
Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and job demands.
In-depth knowledge of staff work assignments and facility operations.
