Accounting Assistant - APAlbany, NY Fusco Personnel is actively recruiting for an Accounting Assistant - AP Specialist to join our client located in the Albany, NY area. Our client is a well-established non-profit organization driven by their mission to deliver critical health information to improve the overall quality of patient care. Under the direction of the Director of Finance the Accounting Assistant is responsible for administrative and office support activities including front desk reception (mail/deliveries/employee asset returns/other), accounts payable processing, fixed asset tagging, along with all department filings and department projects Duties and Responsibilities:Administrative/Office Support:Greet and direct visitors in the office.Receive company mail and deliveries. Scan company mail to appropriate individuals and file original per Company procedures. Maintain office meeting rooms, lunchroom for cleanliness, supplies, etc.Maintain postage stamps and tracking.Maintain employee security badges and tracking. Assist and provide back up for the Office Operations Administrator.Finance:Administer accounts payable - vendor bills, employee expense reports and credit card receipts Maintain cash receipts log. Assist, as assigned with month end and year- end closing.Assist with annual financial statement audit. Assist with the maintenance of internal controls.Assist with administering the monthly, quarterly, annual grant deliverables. Fixed asset tagging and collection of company assets.Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as business needs require. Qualifications and Experience:Associates degree in Accounting or equivalent experience. Three years of office administration experience. Candidate must be detail oriented and maintain a high level of accuracy.Ability to relate to all levels of the organization in a respectful and cordial manner. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of Company, user and patient information.Must know Microsoft Office products and have familiarity with accounting software. Prior working experience with QuickBooks performing accounting functions, preferred. Additional Information:Salary Range: $44,000-$47,500 - range will be based on candidates prior experience and qualifications.Full-Time, Temporary to Hire position.Position will be in person at company headquarters 5 days a week. Position is not eligible for remote work. Flexibility in work schedule - occasional overtime related to meetings or events may be required.Ability to be seated and use computer equipment for several hours per day.
