JOB TITLE: Program Manager - Co-Responder & LEAD

MUSTS: Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work/science, criminal justice, or other related human services degree. Minimum one-year experience in mental health or human services preferred. Must have a valid Colorado Driver's license and a recent clean driving record. Must be willing to complete required criminal justice training, mental health first aid, motivational interviewing, and other assigned training. SKILLS: Ability to communicate and work with other service agencies in the community including meeting coordination. Ability to facilitate community meetings, involving teams of community resources such as social workers, probation officers, education providers, medical providers, mental health/substance abuse professionals, family/extended families, etc. Ability to monitor grant requirements and program outcomes. Working knowledge of the individual, group, family, and crisis treatment approaches and their application to clients with emotional, behavioral, and/or substance use disorder problems. Ability to produce written documentation of work in a manner readily understood by other service providers. Knowledge or ability to learn and practice trauma-informed and harm reduction principles and practices. Must have a clear understanding of HIPAA, confidentiality, and personal boundaries and be self-assured in a variety of situations. Have the ability to de-escalate and remain calm. Self-driven and motivated, work independently, flexible, team player. Ability to interact with people in a professional, friendly manner. Ability to think critically and independently. Ability to adapt to change in the workplace. Ability to use change for innovation and creativity. Ability to inspire and model collaborative teamwork. DUTIES: The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for providing a community-based approach to LEAD and Co-Responder programs and supports the goals of improving public safety and public order, and reducing the criminal behavior of people who participate in the Co-Responder and LEAD programs. The PM collaborates with local police, prosecutors, public defenders, corrections officers and social service providers designed to divert individuals arrested or suspected of low-level drug offenses into social services rather than the criminal justice system. Coordinates supportive services to engage individuals with the goal of reducing legal recidivism and improving quality of life. The PM is to be viewed as a problem solver, effectively listening to individual and community concerns and sharing them with the Co-Responder and LEAD Teams. This role requires individuals to figure out what needs to be done in real-time. The PM is not a clinical position and does not provide treatment; duties include leadership, organizational skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and must have a strong connection and understanding of community resources, and the ability to link and coordinate serv ces. The PM must be persistent, creative, compassionate, and flexible. Must have the ability to continue building a strong network of community partners to support client and program needs. This position works with people who are in difficult life situations or who are going through transitions and need the ability to be sensitive to participants' needs in a positive way. The PM is expected to maintain the highest level of confidentiality at all times. Due to the sensitive nature of this position and the access to client information, strong personal boundaries are necessary with other employees and families to avoid dual relationships or relationships that may negatively
