Korsail Energy Electrical Apprentice in Alamosa, Colorado
POSITION:
Electrical Apprentice, Full-time, Contract
DUTIES:
We are seeking an Electrical Apprentices for the Cornflower Solar & Storage project in Alamosa County, Colorado. As an apprentice, you will assist Electricians and the installation team in the construction and maintenance of solar electric systems. This role involves hands-on learning and offers the opportunity to participate in a company-provided apprenticeship program.
Assist Electricians and Electrical Foremen with the installation and maintenance of electrical systems. Run a variety of conduit styles and sizes to electrical devices. Pull wire to connection boxes, switch panels, and other terminals. Load and unload tools, supplies, and equipment. Drive ground rods and trench for grounding grids. Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical equipment relevant to the electrical trade. Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in a professional manner. Assist in other areas of the company as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
Previous experience in solar installation or a related field (preferred). Familiarity with electrical systems and components. Knowledge of building codes, NEC regulations, and safety practices related to solar installations. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for solar installations. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Commercial electrician experience for electrical connections (preferred). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor in various weather conditions. Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures. Strong work ethic and desire to learn. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
WAGE:
The expected compensation for this position is between $32 and $40 per hour at the commencement of employment; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
