The Opportunity

Candidates will work with a modern tech stack on a Software as a Service cloud platform to support the well-being of users in over 25 countries in a large-scale system responsible for processing billions of messages daily. The candidate should bring passion for software engineering and a desire for continuous learning as well as versatility, leadership qualities and a desire to shape the direction of the team. What You'll Work On

  • Develop and maintain the architectural blueprints for mobile application projects, ensuring alignment with the overall IT strategy and business goals.

  • Design scalable and secure mobile application solutions that provide optimal user experience across multiple device types.

  • Lead the evaluation and adoption of new mobile technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance productivity and effectiveness of mobile development teams.

  • Collaborate with other architects, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure cohesive and integrated solutions across the enterprise.

  • Define best practices and standards for mobile application development, including coding standards, tools, and methodologies.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to mobile development teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Conduct architectural assessments, reviews, and audits to ensure compliance with design standards and architectural governance.

  • Manage risks associated with mobile application architectures and propose mitigation strategies.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in mobile technology to continuously evolve our mobile application strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in software development with at least 4 years in mobile development and architecture.

  • Proven experience as a software architect, with a deep understanding of mobile application development (iOS/Android), architecture patterns, and frameworks.

  • Proven Experience with mobile technologies and languages for iOS and Android: React Native, Swift, Kotlin, JNI, C/C++ (on mobile)

  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and integrating various backend services (APIs, databases, etc.) with mobile applications.

  • Familiar with data architecture and design practices for mobile solutions

  • Familiar with Analytics Products; Firebase, Segment

  • Familiar with Cybersecurity best practices and solutions for supported architecture. Familiar with cryptography concepts

  • Experience with documenting architectural and deign decisions

  • Experience with working and supporting with multiple development team members

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

The base pay for this position is $125,700.00 – $251,500.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
