PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Grants and Incentives Program Manager, under the direction of the Director, Incentives and Reporting (IandR), will support the Director in managing, planning, organizing, and evaluating enterprise-wide grant and incentive program initiatives across multiple functions. The Grants and Incentives Program Manager will be responsible for administering various payment programs including formation of materials and procedures, processing proposals and applications, maintaining relationships with internal and/or external stakeholders to support proposals through the post-award process to maximize goal achievement, and support strategic planning efforts related to Alameda Alliance for Healths (Alliance) community investments. With guidance from the Director, IandR, the Grants and Incentives Program Manager will manage grant and/or incentive programs that reinforce sound business decisions and that align with approved framework, strategic goals, and regulatory and reporting requirements to maximize overall program impact.

Principal responsibilities include:

  • Plans, organizes, manages, and evaluates the Alliances current and future grant and/or incentive programs.
  • Develops and implements grant and/or incentive program management policies and procedures, including program eligibility criteria.
  • Works closely with the Director, IandR and Executive Director, Operations to build, implement, and manage an effective program.
  • Works with the IandR Business Analyst and cross functional teams to compile information and data to support and inform the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs, as well as maintenance of a work plan for implementation and management of grant and/or incentive programs.
  • Manages the processing of grant and/or incentive programs from proposal and application process through the post-award process.
  • Identifies key program metrics and deliverables to support evaluation of investments.
  • Supports interdepartmental strategic planning efforts related to the Alliances investments in the community.
  • Develops templates, materials, and communications for grant and/or incentive programs and the Alliances investments in the community.
  • Independently establishes strong relationships with internal and/or external partners and navigates various landscapes to achieve program goals.
  • Reviews grantee contracts, payment requests, and other documentation to ensure compliance with program criteria, and communicates with applicants/grantees if additional information is needed.
  • Manages resources in a matrixed environment to drive appropriate and equitable action to maximize resource provision.
  • Prepares and presents progress/status reports to the Director, IandR.
  • Completes other duties and special projects as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

  • Evaluates and conducts due diligence on grant/incentive program applications.
  • Manages inquiries about grant and/or incentive programs and acts as liaison to relevant internal departments and/or external partners.
  • Maintains and monitors reporting tools for grant and/or incentive program activities to identify potential resource constraints, barriers, and opportunities.
  • Conducts research and analyzes programmatic information and data related to potential investments and develops sound and equitable recommendations.
  • Reports on the status and outcome of each grant and/or incentive awarded by reviewing and analyzing performance data and assisting in the preparation of written summaries for executive leadership and the Alliance Board of Governors,
  • Ensures effective grant and/or incentive program management, including identifying and maintaining tracking all awards, reporting and deliverable requirements, and related information.
  • Prepares and delivers internal and community presentations on grant and/or incentive programs.
  • Provides support to he Integrated Planning Division for various enterprise-wide project activities required as a result of any grant and/or incentive
  • Attends project-related meetings, as necessary.
  • Ability to independently undertake work with minimal supervision.
  • Develops, implements, updates, and maintains procedures, as necessary.
  • Leads and/or participates in internal and/or external committees and meetings, as appropriate.
  • Complies with the organizations Code of Conduct, all regulatory and contractual requirements, organizational policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION OR TRAINING EQUIVALENT TO:

  • Bachelors degree in a business administration or health-related field, or equivalent work experience.

MINIMUM YEARS OF ADDITIONAL RELATED EXPERIENCE:

  • Five years progressive experience within a healthcare environment preferred.
  • Three years of grant and/or incentive program administration/management experience required.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, ABILITIES, LICENSE):

  • Working knowledge of the principles and practices of philanthropy.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and budgeting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, mature judgment, and diplomacy required to interact effectively with a broad spectrum of people, both individually and in groups.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Extremely well developed organizational and planning skills
  • Strong networking and negotiation skills to ensure positive working relationships with all staff, consultants, development partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to interact diplomatically with a wide variety of people and develop professional relationships.
  • Ability to positively influence and create buy-in across groups

SALARY RANGE $121,730.28-$182,595.42 Annually
