Teradyne Test Technician in Alajuela, Costa Rica

Repair Technician Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Follow the product prioritization defined

  • Make product visual Inspection to identify Product/components physically damaged or missed component.

  • Record Product information BW & FRACAS, TRACIE for the correct process of reparation.

  • Testing Product (Test and troubleshoot complex multi-layer electronic circuit boards to the component level, using standard test equipment (oscilloscopes, digital multimeters etc),

  • Identify failure location on the Product (Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment in an ESD safe environment.)

  • Repair the Product (Adjust or replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry or electronics components, using hand tools or soldering iron)

  • Prepare Product for FVI to ensure that products perform their proposed functions in a satisfactory manner, follow a test process

  • Have familiarity with ESD, SMD, through-hole, Dual Inline Package and PLCC component types depending on the systems assigned.

  • Other assigned duties as needed by immediate supervisor

  • May occasionally (2 times a year) be required to calibrate system equipment (Perform preventative maintenance or calibration of equipment or systems)

    Minimum Requirements

  • Technical Degree in Electronics

    1 year of experience in:

  • English A2 (Writing and reading required)

  • Basic knowledge in computer OS and packages (Windows and Office)

  • Electronic & Circuit analysis.

  • Welding.

  • Turned-in motor skills
