ANAMAR Environmental Consulting, Inc. Environmental Technician in Alachua, Florida

Field Technician:

  • Serve as member of field teams traveling nationwide to support environmental sample collection operations. Travel will vary but can be up to 30% of the year.
  • Safely operate large vehicles with or without trailers.
  • Operate field sampling equipment to include grab samplers, water quality meters, pumps, etc.
  • Accurately record field data and observations using legible handwritten notes or digital recording devices.

Logistics/Equipment Maintenance:

  • Organize, maintain, and pack/unpack equipment and supplies required for field sampling.
  • Conduct maintenance on field sampling equipment and electronics.
  • Maintain accurate inventories of supplies and equipment; order and receive supplies.

Administration:

  • Working knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Ability to learn and master new software applications and use routinely use and troubleshoot videoconferencing tools.
  • Operate basic office equipment (laptop computers, copiers, printers, etc.).
  • Adhere to safety culture.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally required to climb, crawl, stoop and kneel; regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; regularly talk or hear; occasionally team-lifting heavy weight objects (minimal single person lifting light to medium weight objects required).

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent works in a typical office environment as well as outdoors in the field at various times of year, in various extreme weather conditions.
  • Successful candidate will be able to work safely on small to large vessels inshore, nearshore, and offshore for periods ranging from hours to weeks.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to occasionally loud.

  • Must have Associates Degree or above in science or related field
  • Must have a valid driver'slicense (Class E) The employee must have a valid driver's license to drive their vehicle or a company vehicle to various worksite locations as required by the employer.
  • Acquire Medical Examiner's Certificate (Form MCSA-5876) employer-paid

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • CDL certification
  • Military service
  • Bachelors Degree in science or related field
