Job Overview
The primary responsibility of the Mechanic is to repair, install, adjust or maintain industrial machinery systems in both the field and the shop, in accordance with Weatherford guidelines. This role requires expertise in mechanical engineering and a commitment to upholding Weatherford's standards of excellence.
Responsibilities:
The Mechanic III will be responsible for all JAMPro / VERO system operations rendered to our client/s.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring all JAMPro / VERO systems are fit to work by performing all checks in accordance with the SOP, Checklist, and client requirements.
He will carry out the necessary repairs and maintenance within his scope of work and function testing of the equipment.
The Mechanic III will be responsible for identifying required parts, repair the units, function test and load out all the JAMPro / VERO units and accessories to the client’s location for job execution in the field.
He will be responsible for documenting all issues identified with the equipment during maintenance, and support field personnel during each job.
He will also ensure all certifications and maintenance records are up to date and logged in the MyAdvisor system.
Qualifications:
7- 10 years repair & maintenance JAM & VERO dep.
Electrical certificate
Ability to read various types of drawings/schematics
Operational knowledge of Weatherford equipment and operating systems
Proficiency in operating counterbalance forklift trucks
Valid overhead crane certificates
Manual Handling training certification
Post-apprenticeship experience in mechanical engineering
Maintain all skills associated with Mechanic I – III positions.
Help facilitate and monitor the deployment of personnel and equipment at each stage of an operation, from procedures, on-site operations, and equipment preparation activities.
Supervise wellsite crews and assign duties and responsibilities in the shop.
Work closely with Wellsite Manager and Field Trainer to identify areas in need of enhancement, from equipment to personnel performance and compliance with WFT policies.
Skills:
English skills, written & verbal skills.
Ability to learn JD Edward's operating system and functions.
General electronic knowledge theory
General hydraulic knowledge theory
Flexibility to work long and/or irregular hours, including being on 24-hour call
