Job Overview

Weatherford, a leading global energy services company, is seeking a passionate and skilled Field Spec I to join our team. As a Field Spec I, you will play a crucial role in providing installation, repairs, and routine servicing of TRS equipment both in the shop and in the field. This demanding, hands-on position utilizes the latest technologies to deliver innovative solutions for our clients. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse and talented team, contributing to our mission of enhancing safety, streamlining operations, and sustaining uptime for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Operate hydraulic & mechanic CRT & maintenance

  • Operate JAM unit with power tong and CRT

  • Operate hydraulic Power Tong to run casing or tubing

  • Use hydraulic or electric power units

  • Demonstrate keen understanding of different types of handling equipment related to Tubular Running Services

  • Work effectively on pulling units as well as drilling rigs

  • Perform maintenance & repairs on company-owned rental equipment in the field as needed

  • Complete job reports accurately and thoroughly on a timely basis

  • Assist in the shop and make deliveries when available

  • Be available on a 24-hour call basis to respond to customer needs

  • Understand and comply with all safety rules, company policies, and Quality Systems Manual

  • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by the supervisor within the physical constraints of the job

Requirements

  • Ability to operate hydraulic & mechanic CRT & maintenance

  • Accurate & thorough completion of job reports on a timely basis

  • Assist in the shop and make deliveries when available

  • Available on a 24-hour call basis to respond to customer needs

  • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by the supervisor within the physical constraints of the job

Education

High School diploma (or Secondary School Diploma or equivalent) is the minimum requirement. A 2-year College degree is preferred.

Certifications

  • Valid Driver's license

  • Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel computer skills

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of related experience in TRS (Tubular Running Services)

  • General product knowledge

  • Mechanical ability necessary to perform repairs

  • Self-motivated and self-starting attitude

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to follow instructions

  • Ability to work closely with fellow team members
