Job Title: Electrical Drafter/Designer

Job Description

The CAD Technician will function as a member of a technical team alongside Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers. The main responsibility will be the creation and revision of technical drawings associated with electrical distribution design.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing new drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches, layouts, or written directions.

• Adhere to company and client drafting standards and procedures.

• Follow ANSI standard drafting practices.

• Draft, design, and document various projects.

• Utilize various drafting and design software for project tasks.

• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.

• Complete all other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

• Experience in electrical drafting and AutoCAD Electrical is a plus

• Knowledge of CAD design engineering and drafting standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to access and use drafting software where projects are housed.

• Proficiency with Bluebeam to review and edit drawings.

Work Environment

The role involves in-office design work, requiring interaction with various drafting and design software. The ideal candidate should have a desire to understand and complete entire projects.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
