Role Objective This role partners with members of the marketing team to translate project briefs into strategic creative solutions that drive results. Will support B2B markets with some consumer-focused work. Has demonstrated strong writing proficiencies and understands how to work within (and advance) a brand voice. The Senior Copywriter is equal parts independent thinker and collaborator; skilled at self-management and team projects. Ideal candidate would understand how to test and measure success of content and adjust based on learnings. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Experience leading on copy development in a variety of lengths and styles, including but not limited to sell sheets, banner ads, email marketing, ecommerce product descriptions, tradeshow booths, video scripts, web page updates, SEO copy, social posts and blogs. Partners with creative team and marketing teammates in execution of big ideas and strategic initiatives. Coordinates and facilitates collaboration among clients, fellow writers, designers, sales stakeholders, and brand leaders. Responsible for gaining foundational understanding of the markets and customers we serve as well as regulatory restrictions (including FDA, EPA, and FTC) and applying to copy - and stretches creatively under these parameters. Helps identify metrics by which to measure the success of content. Tests and learns from strategies to continually drive better results. Works within established brand while helping advance brand voice and tone to stay fresh and relevant. Ensures consistent messaging across digital and print platforms across varying projects. Considers big picture objectives within each project, such as enterprise priorities, sales goals, UX, and marketing best practices, Balances various assignments for multiple clients with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Expert at condensing big ideas into short-form copy. Serves business-to-business (B2B) projects and should have previous experience creating B2B sales and marketing materials or be enthusiastic about learning this marketing structure. Understands consumer sales pipeline and the difference in marketing strategies between consumer and B2B. Acts as guide and mentor to junior copywriters as needed. Understands how to source and site materials, adding proper citations and disclaimers. Coordinates with outside vendors when necessary, including outside agencies and video producers. Tracks projects from kick-off to completion in internal project management systems. Possesses exceptional spelling, grammar, editing, and proofreading skills. #LI-Hybrid Education and Experience BA or BS in Marketing, English, Communications or Journalism preferred Minimum three (3) years' experience in a copywriting role required Experience with MS Office and Adobe Acrobat Able to learn new systems, programs, and skills quickly Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines and milestones UX certifications a plus Supervision/Coordination This role does not supervise others and reports to a senior member of the Marketing Services team.
