CNC Machinist (Vertical Mill/ Haas Controls) - Akron, Ohio - JOB 25-01004 Salary Range: $25.00 - $33.00/HR Permanent Position with Benefits. Akron Area Manufacturing Company is seeking to hire an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate Vertical Mills with Haas Controls. REQUIREMENTS • High school graduate, GED, or equivalent experience in a machine shop • Hands on experience with 3-axis milling required. • Experience with HAAS machines preferred. • Lift workpiece manually or with hoist, position, and secure workpiece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers, or fixture using clamps and wrenches. • Position and secure work piece on machine, using holding devices, measuring instruments, hand tools and hoists. • Study blueprints, layouts, sketches, or work orders to assess work piece specifications, determine tolling instructions, tools and materials needed and the sequence of operation. • Compute dimensions, tolerances, and angles of work pieces or machines, according to specifications and knowledge of metal properties and shop mathematics. • Observe milling or planning machine operation and adjust controls to ensure conformance with specified tolerances. • Able to work Monday - Thursday 6:30 am - 5:00 pm (Friday overtime as needed) Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
