Community Support Services Inc Cleaner Crew Leader II in Akron, Ohio

Description

*The Opportunity: *We are seeking to hire a Crew Leader II to join our team. This individual will be responsible for the training and supervision of CSS custodial services work crews at assigned work sites. The Crew Leader II will ensure that all work is completed to meet contracted worksite specifications.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Assess daily custodial needs and assign tasks.
  • Train commercial cleaners on assigned custodial duties.
  • Perform custodial work as necessary to complete daily tasks.
  • Maintain inventory of tools and supplies to complete assignments.
  • Communicate work and behavioral issues of individuals to staff and complete necessary paperwork required by CSS.
  • Ensure completion of necessary documentation for payroll functions for work crews.
  • Comply with all safety procedures and requirements.
  • Report safety concerns/suggestions to supervisor and complete related documentation per established policy.
  • This position is full-time (40 hours a week) working afternoon and evening hours.

     

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and custodial equipment operation. Demonstrated ability to provide clear instructions.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently exhibits manual dexterity when working with cleaning equipment, and frequently talks and hears when working with job contacts.  The employee stands for extended periods of time with frequent walking and grasping. Up to 25% bending, twisting, and reaching.  Vision demands include the ability to visualize clean vs unclean areas and navigate throughout buildings.  Employee occasionally lifts items up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with individuals with mental illness and a realistic desire to assist individuals in adjusting to the world of work.

  • Excellent organizational, attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work non-judgmentally with individuals whose behavior and belief systems are incongruent with that of society and/or your personal beliefs.

Pay for this position starts at 13.53-16.37 per hour.
