Robert Half Bookkeeper in Akron, Ohio

Description

We are seeking a Bookkeeper in Akron, Ohio, to manage our organization's financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. This role is essential to our organization's financial health, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all transactions and financial reports. The Bookkeeper will also be responsible for processing payroll and managing accounts payable and receivable.

This is a direct hire position with fulltime standard business hours. It is an in office role. Someone with previous bookkeeping and general accounting experience would be ideal!

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliation

• Conduct month-end close and reconcile accounts

• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings to ensure accurate financial statements

• Process customer credit applications and maintain accurate records

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Use software to manage financial transactions, create financial reports, and ensure legal requirements compliance

• Perform account reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy

• Collaborate with team members to improve and streamline financial processes

• Maintain a high level of confidentiality with all financial data

• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Expertise in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations

• Strong Bookkeeping skills

• Ability to execute Month End Close procedures

• Experience in managing Payroll

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
