ManpowerGroup Assistant Controller in Akron, Ohio

Our client, a Global Chemical Manufacturer based in Akron, OH is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team on a permanent direct-hire basis. The Assistant Controller will support the Corporate Controller in all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, audit compliance, the development of internal control policies and procedures, as well as continuous improvement initiatives. We need someone with a strong background in manufacturing accounting , excellent analytical skills, strong communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. Public Accounting experience and a CPA are required. This position will "own" the company's Audit function.

Job will be mostly on-site in Akron (4-days per week) with Fridays being a work-from-home day.

Job Title: Assistant Controller

Location: Akron, Ohio

Salary Range: $130K - $160K Base, plus Bonus Potential.

What’s Needed?

  • BA/BS in Accounting , and a CPA is required .

  • Public Accounting experience is required (Big 4 preferred.)

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate manufacturing environment , including closing process .

  • Experience with Statutory Audits and Technical Accounting.

  • Experience with SAP S/4Hana would be a huge plus.

  • Hands-on, “roll up sleeves” attitude.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
