Job Title: Warehouse Driver

Job Description

The Warehouse Driver will split their day between working in the warehouse and driving for deliveries. The role involves picking orders in the freezer for 3 hours in the morning and spending approximately 5 hours on the road delivering goods.

Responsibilities

• Load vehicle for delivery, deliver goods to clients, and unload vehicle after completing deliveries.

• Carry products into restaurants, which may require going up and down stairs. Some boxes could weigh 40lbs+.

• Perform simple vehicle maintenance such as cleaning the interior of the vehicle, checking lights, checking tires, filling fluids, and scheduling routine maintenance.

• Interact with customers in a professional manner.

• Collect required signatures for payment, proof of delivery, and provide receipts to customers.

• Perform other duties as assigned, such as running errands to Costco.

• Good personality and character for customer interactions

• Good attitude and willingness to perform tasks as asked

• Ability to lift heavy boxes

• Clean driving record

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must be 26 years old or older to meet insurance requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Comfortable working in a freezer to pick cases and in a clean room around fish and other seafood

• At least 1 year of relevant driving experience is ideal

• Forklift experience preferred

• Comfortable lifting heavy boxes, 70-80lb cases of meat/seafood

• Basic math and reading skills

• Comfortable using computers for data entry

Work Environment

You will be working for a wholesale seafood processor and distributor handling halibut, salmon, shrimp, as well as other proteins like beef, chicken, pork, and specialty meats. The work environment includes working in the fish room and cooler where the temperature is around 40 degrees. You will be part of a team of 7-8 people in the warehouse, which is wet, cold, and has a fishy smell.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Airway Heights, Washington.
