Opportunity Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Agoura Hills, CA to lead a variety of Platform product development initiatives for our next generation Semiconductor Testers. In the Platform Engineering Group, we focus on developing state of the art industry leading Semiconductor Equipment. This position will need to work with Systems Engineering, Marketing, and other Engineering groups to understand key requirements and use cases. The need to create innovative and sound technical solutions to complex engineering problems is essential in this role. Drawing on experience and in depth professional knowledge will be critical while navigating design decisions and documenting risks.

All About You:

In this role you will:

  • Work towards agreed upon mid and long-term goals as a subject matter expert.

  • Lead and collaborate with development teams in key areas such as providing technical knowledge and guidance, communication clarity, trade-off analysis, project scheduling, and change management.

  • Produce concepts from high level requirements or problem statements from various functional groups, develop those concepts with various types of analyses, verify design through functional testing of prototypes, summarize results, and defend design in design reviews to peers and management.

  • Perform and explain structural analysis to support design using a mixture of hand calculations and FEA

  • Effectively collaborate with global supply base to arrive at economically viable solutions for high volume manufacturing.

  • Create assembly and detailed part drawings using GD&T.

Develop industry leading Platform products based on sound engineering principles that:

  • Supports electronics packaging solutions for complex air and liquid cooled designs

  • Consider design reliability in various thermal operating environments

  • Consider end user constraints, cost, and time to market

Long-term expectations for this position include:

  • Influences and participates in the development of long-term technical capability roadmaps to support market change over time

  • Contributes to initiatives throughout the company as a subject matter expert

  • Routinely creates innovative ideas and generates presentations

  • Mentor Jr. Engineers and help create a high performance engineering team

Qualified individuals will have:

  • BS, Mechanical Engineering and 10 years of experience

  • Solidworks, Solidworks PDM, Solidworks FEA experience

  • In depth knowledge of GD&T standards and applied experience.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills including presentations, (Customer, internal and management).

  • A driven and autonomous personality

  • Experience writing and communicating critical reports. Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience leading design reviews, internally and customer.

  • Complex problem solving/troubleshooting skills for both components and subsystems.
