Teradyne Hardware Verification Engineer in Agoura Hills, California

Our Purpose

Teradyne’s Silicon Technology Engineering group (STE) needs an entry level to senior level bench characterization engineer who supports new product development and is responsible for creating bench level test plan, software generation to drive bench equipment to take automatic measurements, perform bench level debug on tests like PLL lock range, driver jitter, and trailing edge error. The role will involve direct communication with Teradyne’s ASIC design team, ATE test team and our internal customers.

This is a Hybrid work environment.

Opportunity Overview

  • Analyze electrical specifications from a device’s datasheet and use this to create detailed bench level test plans.

  • Design hardware to interface the DUT (device under test) to bench equipment.

  • Develop software to control the interactions between our ASICs and external bench equipment.

  • Collect and evaluate device performance data and correlate to system level parameters.

  • Present results to senior level engineer and management of findings.

  • Generate characterization reports to summarize the results and additional findings.

  • Other responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshooting, debug of customer failures, failures isolation and other bench level measurements.

    All About You

    • 3+ years of experience is preferred, but not required
  • Co-op, internship, and work experience in a related field is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/physics is required. Electrical/Computer engineering is preferred, or relevant experience

    • Experience using benchtop equipment is preferred.
  • Power supplies, multimeters, signal generators, oscilloscopes

  • Experience programming in VBA (visual basic for applications) is preferred.

  • Additional knowledge of other programming languages like Python, MATLAB, and C++ is a plus.

  • Experience programming in Verilog is a plus.

  • Knowledge of GPIB communication and programming is preferred.

  • Experience in multi-GHz signal delivery is preferred.

  • Experience with revision control is preferred.

  • Git experience is a plus.
