ENVISION YOUR FUTURE JOB

The Global Business Service is a Shared Service Center network that provides Accounting services to our global subsidiaries. The EMEA Shared Service Center, based in Agordo (BL) is accountable for the following processes: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Master Data, Indirect Taxes and Balance Sheet Assets for both Italian companies and European subsidiaries.

The role reports to the Head of GBS EMEA, working closely with Accounting team on perimeters with high complexity, serving as the privileged point of contact for any accounting matter that relates to compliance with accounting standards, both IAS/IFRS and local, and EL Group Accounting Manual and Policies.

  • Ensure compliance (analysis and control work) and correct application of IFRS and EL Group accounting standards in the context of the GBS EMEA scope.

  • Ensure a good understanding of the Group's expectations inside GBS organization in terms of information quality, deadlines and standards. Identify potential training needs and provide necessary support.

  • Prepare and draft analysis notes/synthesis notes, presentations, and documents on technical subjects for the GBS Accounting team, EL Corporate Reporting, and internal/external stakeholders and as discussion support in management meetings.

  • Plan, lead, and analyze any specific and/or transverse subject/project (e.g., B/S reconciliations, implementation of new standards, team training) in coordination with dedicated expertise services (e.g., Corporate, GBS, Treasury, IT, Controlling...).

  • Ensure the reliability of the produced information and respond to auditors.

  • Actively monitor updates and implementation of new IAS/IFRS accounting standards and Italian General Accepted Accounting Principles.

PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE

  • Master’s degree in finance (business school or equivalent), professional experience in finance, accounting, management control, with 5 to 7 years of experience in external audit in a firm.

  • English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking.

  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS standards

  • General accounting and financial knowledge

  • Familiarity with SAP and consolidation IT tools

  • Great rigor in reviewing financial data

  • Managerial capabilities, staff development

  • Exercise leadership to guide the team and relevant organizations towards the objective (decision-making, negotiation)

  • Relational qualities enabling interaction and communication with different types and levels of audiences across different cultures, creating a bond of trust and credibility with stakeholders
