Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Cross trained in consolidating customer orders into multi-stop truckload deliveries filling the trucks out to their fullest while meeting customer\'s requirements regarding on time delivery Supervision of customer service, drivers, and garage functions Communicate with Customer Service personnel any customer issues such as late deliveries, detention, or other problems. Strong motivator in cultivating and reinforcing safety initiatives. Hold regular driver safety meetings Perform regular safety observations Complete and review incident reports Analyzing routing efficiency Oversee daily logs and perform log audits Conduct ride-a-longs Scheduling Drivers Update Driver and DOT files Manage Garage/yard repairs Backup to Payroll Processing Samsara GPS/ELD systems installation/maintenance Handheld device/printer maintenance/troubleshooting OSHA Compliance Creating various Distribution and Transportation reports/spreadsheets Other objectives as assigned Education and Experience: CDL License preferred but not required. Experienced in leading a DSD distribution operation, including route structuring, cost management and customer satisfaction. Extensive knowledge of DOT regulations and distribution safety management. At least 3 years\' experience in distribution environment. Prior experience in supervising drivers preferred. Skills and Competencies: Excellent interpersonal skills required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Microsoft Office & Outlook. Other Information/Physical Requirements Working Conditions: Office environment Responsibilities allow occasional opportunity for varying work routine Physical Demands: Position is primarily based in an office environment but is subject to the same physical demands of the drivers. SQF Requirements/Responsibilities Support SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner. Support biosecurity and GMP measures. Work with SQF site lead and HR to support SQF training efforts. Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action. Backup duties are covered by other distribution supervisor or the distribution Manager when not on site. Site Specific Requirements: Maintain SQF Documentation and prepare reports (if requested). Serves a backup for the Distribution Drivers and their SQF responsibilities
