General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

This position is responsible for coordinating the planning, preparation, issue, and control of production schedules and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials. Monitors work in progress and material availability, and resolves problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. Ensures material supply and schedule, shop load and inventory requirements are met.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides leadership and directs the daily activities of assigned staff.

• Provides for the efficient use of resources through the continuous planning, scheduling and expediting of labor and material.

• Analyzes and processes work orders, sales orders, purchase requisitions and material transactions for disposition.

• Monitors and coordinates physical movement of materials.

• Coordinates, monitors, and provides leadership for the daily activities of warehouse and inventory personnel.

• Represents the department with internal and external representatives while coordinating interdepartmental activity.

• Participates in the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of human resources to ensure the availability of the required professional talent.

• Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.

• Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

• Additional Functions Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:

• Typically requires education or formal training equivalent to the completion of an associate's degree and six or more years of progressive experience in production control. Additional professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.

• Must demonstrate a strong working knowledge and understanding of production control services principles, concepts, regulations and practices, and must have leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines and milestones.

• Must possess the ability to resolve moderately complex issues.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report and present findings.

• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels of employees, including providing direction to and scheduling work of assigned staff.

• Good computer skills.

• Ability to work independently and lead in a team environment is essential.
