Description

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team located in Addison, Illinois. The individual will be essential in managing financial reports, internal controls, account reconciliations, and supervising other accounting staff. This role will also involve providing analytical support for year-end audits and leading special projects as required.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements and account reconciliations

• Supervise staff dealing with accounts payable and receivable areas and managing sales tax

• Ensure the implementation of proper internal controls over accounting and financial reporting processes

• Provide analytical support during year-end audits and prepare audit working paper files

• Lead special projects and create ad-hoc reporting as needed

• Complete month-end close and inter-store reconciliations

• Identify and implement improvement opportunities for accounting processes

• Maintain clear and concise communication regarding decision rationale to staff for their understanding and growth

• Perform other duties assigned as necessary

Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is a must.

• Solid understanding of General Ledger operations.

• Ability to prepare and review Journal Entries.

• Experience in Month End Close procedures.

• Knowledge of NetSuite is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with Oracle financial software is beneficial.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is highly valued.

• Experience with SAP software is a plus.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.

• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
