ManpowerGroup Machine Operator in Adamstown, Maryland

Grinder Machine Operator

$18.50-$19.50/hour - 2nd Shift

Do you have experience operating automatic or semi-automatic centerless grinders, surface grinders, lathes, and lappers? Have you set up these types of machines? Do you enjoy working in a manufacturing setting?

We have a position that may be the perfect fit for you.

Our client is a manufacturing facility in Adamstown, MD that produces technical parts from raw materials and uses various machines to meet detailed product specifications. They are seeking a Grinder Machine Operator to join their team. This is a full-time, temp- to-perm position with excellent benefits.

The pay rate for this position starts at $18.50, but may be increased if someone is entering with relevant experience.

What do you need?

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • 2-3 years of experience operating automatic or semi-automatic centerless grinders, surface grinders, lathes, and lappers

  • 1-2 years of experience setting up the machines listed

  • Ability to read micrometers

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

  • Experience reading drawings

  • Ability to monitor and maintain equipment as well as perform lite maintenance

  • Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to interpret and process written instructions

Schedule:

  • 2:30pm-11:00pm Monday thru Friday

  • 8 hour shift

  • 2nd shift receives differential pay

  • The training period during the first month on the job takes place on 1st shift

Work Location: In person, Adamstown, MD, about 15 minutes South of Frederick, Must have reliable transportation
