Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Acworth, Georgia

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk situated in Acworth, Georgia, 30101, United States. As an Accounting Clerk, your main role will be to provide administrative support to our accounting team, manage accounts payable and receivable, and handle various clerical and accounting tasks. This position is central to our operations and involves working with accounting software, handling data entry tasks, and maintaining a high level of detail accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the creation and issuance of customer invoices as part of the accounts receivable process.

• Accurately code, post, and record customer payments and ensure all records are accurate and complete.

• Perform administrative duties such as filing and managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable documents.

• Address and resolve any customer and management inquiries related to accounts payable and receivable.

• Maintain and update vendor files and manage the processing of vendor invoices.

• Ensure the accurate and efficient entering of payments into the accounting system and update billing information.

• Prepare and mail checks to vendors as part of the Accounts Payable process.

• Assist in month-end reporting and reconciliation processes.

• Collaborate with different departments, customers, and vendors to ensure smooth operations.

• Process and reconcile employee expense reports and support other administrative tasks as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Billing Procedures

• Proficient in Data Entry

• Experience in Invoice Processing

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Oracle software

• Experience with QuickBooks software

• Knowledge of SAP software

• Strong analytical skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
