JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an Industrial Wiring Technician who will work in our Production Department. An Industrial Wiring Technician at Phenix Technologies will assist with the assembly and wiring of Electrical Test Equipment. This will include using an electrical schematic to determine the layout of the components and the type of wire and cable to be used as well as the routing of wires and cables and the mounting of all components in the cabinets. This position requires the ability to recognize transformers, resistors, capacitors, relays, contactors, diodes, and other electrical components.The work hours for this position are 4 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assist team members in completing tasks and jobs.
- Understand and follow written and verbal communications.
- Ability to follow policies and procedures to maintain a high level of quality and accuracy.
- Ability to complete tasks and jobs in a timely manner.
- Building various types of cables.
- Assembly and wiring of component and control panels.
- Basic soldering, including PC boards.
- Drilling and tapping holes in different materials.
- Complete wiring of smaller, less complex jobs such as voltage regulators.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED; preferably with classes in Electronics or Electrical Technology
- Technical School in Electrical Technology is a plus; additional experience may be considered
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (Not Required):
- 1 or 2 years of experience in Industrial Wiring
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Reading of Electrical Schematics
- Circuit board soldering
- Knowledge and use of basic hand tools
- Use of hand crimpers and cutters
- Knowledge and use of Powered hand tools
- Must be able to work alone or as part of a team
- Must have very good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Must be able to maintain a clean, safe and functional workstation
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, climb step ladders, file paperwork, and use telephones. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job. Must be capable of lifting 60 pounds.
Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience.
Hourly Pay Range Minimum $16.64 - Midpoint $20.80
