JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Abington's Science and Engineering Division seeks an instructor in the area of Computer Science or Data Science for a part-time appointment to begin Spring 2024. Job Duties The successful candidate will teach college level courses in either computer science (object oriented programming with web-based applications in Java, advanced programming in C++, etc.) or data science (artificial intelligence, data mining, machine learning, etc.) or both depending on the candidate's field. The ideal candidate should be open to offering flexibility in course scheduling and methods of course delivery. Requirements and Qualifications Applicants must have the ability to communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse student population. Candidates must have completed at least a Master's degree in either computer science or data science or a related field. Preference will also be given to candidates with demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level.
