Responsibilities andDuties:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible forproviding an intermediate level of expertise in responding to work orders,troubleshooting, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance onpackaging and production equipment in an industrial environment
Essential Duties andResponsibilities:
Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical,electrical and pneumatic systems
The ability to multi-task repairs and schedulemaintenance tasks to ensure job completion
Must have the insight to use other thanlike-kind components to ensure equipment remains operational
Repair machines and equipment using approvedprocedures and standards while maintaining safety practices
Respond to Production calls for corrective,preventative, and emergency maintenance
Initiates parts requests for machines
Preventive Maintenance - Inspection, adjustment,cleaning, replacement, realigning, etc.
Reads and interprets repair manuals, basicschematics and supervisor/managers instructions
Assists Technicians with basic maintenance suchas sweeping, cleaning, and greasing
Follow Lockout / Tag-out procedures
Communicate with mechanics on other shifts, withverbal and written communications in order to receive and relay specificmachine conditions or other information related to the department
