UNITED SUPERMARKETS Backdoor Receiver in Abilene, Texas
Summary:
The Back Door Receiver is responsible for the coordination, receipt, and tracking of all merchandise received from and returned to partners through the receiving area. The position is also responsible for managing the receiving operation and eliminating and minimizing losses incurred during deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
When a guest enters my area or department, my first and most important responsibility becomes to acknowledge, greet, and engage that guest
Coordinates partner deliveries in a timely and efficient manner
Checks in merchandise, verifying the store has received the accurate order and is billed correctly
Ensures accurate credit and disbursement for reclamation merchandise
Monitors partners to assure quality inventory control
Responsible for keeping area clean, safe, and efficient
Organizes walls and racks of merchandise in receiving area
Utilizes the computer system for accurate processing and communication of inventory and receipts
Ensures the security and confidentiality of information being processed
Monitors any fire exit doors in receiving, keeping them unblocked and free from debris
Responsible for sufficient back up training
Coordinates with department managers and store management to ensure proper paperwork is received with the proper distribution of UPS and FedEx mail on a daily/weekly basis
Ensures all items are authorized and on file
Performs other duties as requested or required by management
Key Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older
One year retail experience
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and punctuality
Strong interpersonal skills for developing positive and efficient working relationships with partners and team members
Strong computer skills with knowledge of Host Reporting and CT 2020 with some knowledge of Excel and Word
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and the ability to use fork lifts and pallet jacks
Ten key by touch
Perform all other physical aspects of the job including bending, squatting, lifting, climbing, and walking
Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance manuals and implements the direction in performance of daily duties
Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
