Amentum Program/Financial Analyst in Aberdeen, Maryland
Amentum has an opportunity for a Program/Financial Analyst with experience leading Army program budgetary management requirements and can assist with the coordination and execution of acquisition milestone decision efforts for Army programs of record. This position will be filled at an Army program office located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
** This position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule and requires a minimum of 2 days of onsite work a week. This is not a remote position. **
You are knowledgeable in the development and management of Army program budgets. You have a strong understanding of budgetary and acquisition requirements and their associated processes. You're also a very organized person, capable of working well independently or as part of a team to accomplish a mission. Your focus on objectives and your knowledge of requirements and regulations ensures you have an organized approach to manage the budgetary requirements for an Army program that will efficiently and effectively meet program needs while remaining fiscally compliant.
Responsibilities:
Serve as an acquisition milestone expert, providing guidance in areas such as milestone decision processes and development of required documentation and briefings.
Perform program analyst duties that include creating and managing budgets and spend plans, forecasting resource requirements, tracking funding modifications, and developing cost estimates.
Pull status of funds (SOF) reports in GFEBS and work directly with customer budget analysts and directors/commanders to request reimbursement and disbursement status.
Prepare studies and/or analysis for further identification of funding requirements or for presentation of funds status. Interpret findings for studies having significant impacts and for development of constructive recommendations for solving funding issues.
Prepare briefings, cost analysis documents, Army Weapon Systems Reviews (WSRs), SMART Charts, P&R forms, SMART/DASC Parade Charts, cash flow, and congressional impact statements.
Coordinate and develop Acquisition Strategy Reports, Budget Exhibits, Budget Execution and Planning, Integrated Master Schedules, Weapon System Reviews, and Programmatic Risk Reviews. Update, track, and maintain other documentation for all budgetary actions and financial data.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree, and at least 6 years of experience as a program/budget analyst or related field supporting Department of Defense (DoD) activities.
Or High School Diploma/GED, and at least 10 years of overall work experience, of which 6 years must be as a program/budget analyst or related field supporting Department of Defense (DoD) activities.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Travel may be required up to 10% based on program needs.
Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior education/experience providing support for the budgetary requirements of a Department of Defense (DoD) / Army program of record (ACAT 1 to 3)
Experience or familiarity with DoD Program Acquisition.
Experience in utilization of General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS)
Army Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (AFARS)/Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
US Army Project Management Resource Tools (PMRT)/US Army Procurement Portfolio Management Tool (PPMT)

Compensation & Benefits:
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $100k to $130k (Annual rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
